This follows XRP's inclusion in a multi-token cryptocurrency reserve in the U.S. Ripple transferred 500 million XRP tokens from an unknown wallet and the same amount from its escrow on March 2. Ripple typically releases a billion tokens on the first day of every month, as scheduled since 2017. The company's Q4 report states that it holds over 38 billion XRP tokens, with roughly 4.5 billion tokens.

XRP's fully diluted valuation briefly surpassed that of Ethereum on Sunday before experiencing a 9% plunge. The XRP price is currently down more than 10%, trading at $2.30, following a $147.5 million XRP transfer to Bithumb, a leading cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea.
